Comedy Nights with Kapil is an Indian comedy show, which is broadcast on the Colors TV channel. The show is hosted by comedian Kapil Sharma. This show is designed to be similar to an English channel "kumars at number 42". After working on the comedy show "hasde hasande ravo" on the MH1, Kapil got his first break in "The Great Indian Laughter Challenge". In 2007, Kapil became the winner of the show in which he won a prize money of 10 lakhs. After this he participated in the "comedy Circus" on Sony Entertainment Television. Kapil won all its six seasons. He has hosted the dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa" Season 6, and has also hosted a comedy show 'Chhote Miyan'. Sharma also participated in the show called "Ustaadon Ka Ustaad".
In 2013, Sharma launched his show "Comedy Nights with Kapil" under his banner "K 9 Production" which proved to be a huge hit. Comedy Nights with Kapil is India's most famous comedy show. Sharma was honored by Amol Palekar for the Entertainer of the Year Award 2013 at the CNN-IBN Indian of the Year Awards. In the Lok Sabha elections 2014, he was made brand ambassador of Delhi by the Delhi Election Commission. Sharma hosted the 60th Filmfare Award as a co-host with Karan Johar. In the fourth season of celebrity cricket league 2014, he was a preserver.
Kapil was going to debut with the film "Bank Chor" a film of Yash Raj Films, but later he left the film. In the first episode of the 8th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati, he was called as guest. Kapil did his film debut as lead hero in "Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon", which was directed by Abbas-Mustan.
