Mohan Bhagwat

Mohan Madhukar Bhagwat (born September 11, 1950) is chief of the Hindu Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) nationalist organization in India. He was elected as a replacement for KS Sudarshan in March 2009.

Mohan Madhukar Bhagwat was born in a city called Chandrapur in Maharashtra. Bhagwat is a Hindu Brahmin clan born in Maharashtra. He is from an RSS activist family. His father Madhukar Rao Bhagwat, was Karyavahak (secretary) for the 'Chandrapur' zone and later Prant Pracharak (divisional promoter) for Gujarat. Mohan Bhagwat is the eldest son of his parents and has two younger brothers and a sister.
